農 架 概 況
神農架位於湖北省西部邊陲，東與湖北省保康縣接壤，西與重慶市巫山縣毗領,南依興山、巴東而瀕三峽,北倚房縣、竹山且近武當。地跨東經109°56′—110°58′,北緯31°15′—31°57′，總面積3253平方公里，轄4鎮4鄉和1個林業管理局(國家森林公園)、1個國家級自然保護區，總人口8萬人。是我國唯一以“林區”命名的行政區。
遠古時期，神農架地區還是一片汪_大海，是燕山和喜馬拉雅造山運動將其抬升為多級陸地，成為大巴山東延的余脈。山脈呈東西方向延伸，山體由南向北逐漸降低。山峰多在海拔1500米以上，其中海拔2500米以上的山峰有20多座。最高峰神農頂海拔3105.4米，為“華中第一峰”。西南部的石柱河海拔398米，是神農架的最低點，最高點與最低點的相對高差為2707.4米。

General situation of Nongjia
Shennongjia is located in the western border of Hubei Province, borderingBaokang County of Hubei Province in the East, Wushan County of Chongqing City inthe west, Xingshan and Badong in the South and Three Gorges in the south,Fangxian and Zhushan in the north and Wudang in the north.
