泰山又稱岱宗，是世界首例自然與文化雙遺產，海拔1532米，面積426平方公里。泰山有名景點有南天門、十八盤、大觀峰、碧霞祠、玉皇頂、桃花峪等等。泰山特產有赤鱗魚、赤靈芝、板栗、核桃，還有四大名藥：何首烏、紫草、黃精、四葉參。泰山風景區內，有山峰156座，崖嶺138座，名洞72處，奇石72塊，溪谷130條，瀑潭64處，名泉72眼歷代刻石2500餘處，堪稱中國書法第一山！
現在我們來到了又名三天門的南天門。南天門位於十八盤盡頭，是登山盤道頂端，座落在飛龍巖和翔鳳嶺之間的山口上。南天門分上下兩層。上覆摩空閣，內置3尊明萬曆年間女神銅像。下層為拱形門洞，寬3米，高 3米，上鑲石匾額“南天門”貼金。東西總長9米，南北進深6米，高4米。南天門下西側有石棚，內壁鑲南天門創建碑，元代杜仁傑撰文、嚴忠范書寫。南天門北面建有關帝廟3間，面闊11米，進深9米，通高7米，四柱五架梁七檁前後廊式，重梁起架，五脊硬山頂。
說完了有名的南天門，就該說因峰頂有玉皇廟而得名的泰山主峰之巔——玉皇頂了。玉皇頂海拔1545米，拔地而起，有“天下第一山峰”之美譽。玉皇頂東亭可看望“旭日東升”，西亭可以觀賞“黃河金帶”。殿前有“極頂石”，標誌著泰山的最高點；極頂石西北有“古登封台”碑刻，玉皇頂位於碧霞祠北，為泰山絕頂，舊稱太平頂，又名天柱峰。

泰山名勝風景區是世界自然與文化雙重遺產，世界地質公園，國家AAAAA級旅遊景區，全國重點文物保護單位，中華國山，非物質文化遺產，全國風景文明旅遊區，書法第一山。泰山還被古人視為“直通帝座”的天堂，成為百姓崇拜的神山，有“泰山安，四海皆安”的說法。自秦始皇開始到清代，先後有13代帝王引次親登泰山封禪或祭祀，另外，有24代帝王譴官祭祀72次。 遊客們，現在我們看到的是桃花峪。桃花峪位於岱頂西北，是泰山近幾年開闢的旅遊新區，並有索道、纜車直通岱頂。在索道站周圍露出的岩石，主要是傲倈山中粒片麻狀二長花崗岩。其東側有北西向龍角山斷裂通過，斷裂兩旁發育有與其基本平行的伴生斷裂。其中一條伴生斷裂切過一個山頭，生成約5厘米寬的節理密集帶，節理面近於直立，把二長花崗岩切割成許多薄板狀岩塊，在重力作用下岩塊沿直立節理面不斷坍塌，最後形成兩封對峙的一條幾米寬的大裂縫，這就是有名的桃花峪一線天。
