在自我介紹中有的學生還會犯一個錯誤，就是介紹自己看了哪些哪些書，有時就撞到槍口上了，被老師連續發問後很尷尬，所以在自我介紹的時候儘量誠實介紹，不然一個小小的失誤就會導致失敗。
英文的自我介紹比較簡單，1分鐘左右就可以了，把自己畢業的院校、專業、喜好、性格、社會實踐等說出來就好了，用的詞也都是比較常見的，比較易懂的。我們學校英文介紹自己的時候是站著介紹的，最後最好和老師鞠個躬。
自我介紹是直接向別人展示你自己的一種手段，自我介紹說得好不好，直接關係到導師對你的第一印象分，在心理學上稱為“首應效應”。在介紹時要把自己的個性展現給老師，要做到誠實有禮貌，這樣會博得老師的好感。
