集體名詞作主語主謂一致
1)通常作複數的集體名詞
集體名詞，如：police, people,cattle,militia,poultry等，
通常作複數，用複數動詞。如：
domestic cattle provide us with milk, beef and hides.
2)通常作不可數名詞的集體名詞
有些集體名詞，如foliage,machinery,equipment,furniture,merchandise,通常作不可數名詞，隨後的動詞用單數。例如：all the machinery in the factory is made in china.
3)既可作單數也可作複數的集體名詞
集體名詞，如audience, committee, class, crew, family, public, government等，既可作單數，也可作複數用。

如果主語是由“a committee of /a panel of /a board of +複數名詞”構成，隨後的動詞通常用單數。例如：
