尊敬的各位家長，大家下午好，
非常感謝各位家長在這寒冷的天氣里抽空來到學校參加孩子高中階段的第一次家長會，大家辛苦了，我是我們班的英語老師尹老師，很開心能在這裡與諸位交流一下孩子們這半個學期以來在英語學習方面的情況。我的電話號碼是12345678，歡迎大家以後與我聯繫交流孩子的英語學習情況，也請各位家長給我多提寶貴意見和建議。
首先，我想簡單談談我們班的日常英語學習狀況。
我們班的特點是：同學英語功底都還不錯，課堂活躍，認真做筆記，能跟著老師的思路走，作業大部分同學都能按時完成。作業完成一直特別優秀的同學有：某某某。
需要改進或提高的地方有：
1. 作業完成質量不高，有些同學作業做完後錯題沒有更正，或者即使是更正，也沒有分析和總結錯誤原因，導致做題效率低，有些題一錯再錯。
2. 做題速度：部分同學做題做題速度太慢導致考試試題不能正常完成而扣分過多。
3. 提問或反饋：提問人數少，不管是課內還是課後，只有少數同學會經常過來問我問題，比如某某某。大部分同學不問問題，這說明對知識的消化及思考不到位，只是被動的接受，並不是主動思考從而發現問題，解決問題。
接下來我想簡單地分析一下我們班的期中考試成績。
在這次考試中，我們班英語尖子生比較少，就是130分以上只有3人，但120分以上的，也就是達到英語優秀的學生還是比較多的，120分以上的同學有27人，但與此同時，我們班 低分段的人數也不少，低於100分的同學有7人。和第一次月考相比，班級整體有進步，但也有少數同學退步了。
這次考試反映出了以下幾個問題：
1.是做題速度把握不好，部分同學在閱讀理解上花費了大量的時間而導致後面的主觀題沒有充分的時間去完成，進而扣分嚴重。
2.少數同學，尤其是男生，也有部分女生，英語書寫不過關，字寫得太差，作文卷面顏值很低，導致閱卷老師無法識別其所寫的內容，導致作文扣分過多。本來如果字寫好一點的話可以得21-22分，但由於字寫得太潦草，只得了16分左右，這分丟得太不應該。
3.閱讀題因為辭彙量小而不能理解文章意思，對文章結構和邏輯不理解也是閱讀錯題較多的原因。
4.課文內容句子填空填反映出同學對書本知識的掌握程度，部分同學欠缺較大，15分課文內容填空題如果沒上9分，說明課文朗讀太少，書本知識掌握太差。
最後，我希望家長們在以下幾個方面提供幫助：
1. 每周翻翻孩子的作業，可以看出孩子是敷衍了事還是認真對待，請提醒孩子一定要更正錯題並分析總結，這樣才能有收穫。
2. 督促孩子在家多背單詞，多背誦英語美文或英語作文範文，多朗讀和跟讀英語錄音。在學校我們只有周三和周五的早讀課是英語早讀課，所以在學校進行朗讀的時間是極其有限的，希望家長們在家督促孩子每天都讀一下英語，10-20分鐘最好，可以朗讀課文或跟讀課文錄音。課文錄音可以來我這裡拷貝。
3. 督促孩子練字，改善書寫。字寫得工整漂亮是英語主觀題尤其是作文題得高分的前提。我們應該趁現在還是高一，還有充沛的時間，努力去改善書寫。我現在要求孩子們每星期臨摹字帖至少6版，練字本上練字至少抄寫三篇文章，希望各位家長們多多督促。
4. 督促孩子除了完成老師布置的任務之外，還要提高自學能力，積極主動的多做課外習題，尋找課文學習材料，多思考和整理所學過的知識。告訴孩子高中和國中最大的不同就在於高中階段一定要有自學能力，了解自我，夯實基礎，主動思考，查漏補缺，這樣才能提高學習成績和學習能力。
5. 幫助孩子購買工具書，建議買一本英漢雙解的英語詞典，孩子在做平時的作業或進行課外自學時遇到不認識的單詞的時候可以進行查閱，這樣既可以鍛鍊孩子的自學能力，也能增加孩子的辭彙量。

And I want to say something to the schoolchildren of who were watching thelive coverage of the shuttles take-off. I know its hard to understand, butsometimes painful things like this happen. Its all part of the proceofexploration and discovery. Its all part of taking a chance and expanding manshorizons. The future doesnt belong to the fainthearted; it belongs to the brave.The Challenger crew was pulling us into the future, and well continue to followthem.
Well continue our quest in space. There will be more shuttle flights andmore shuttle crews and, yes, more volunteers, more civilians, more teachers inspace. Nothing ends here; our hopes and our journeys continue.
