In the State of Zheng. There was a man who wanted to go into town to buy apair of new shoes.
鄭國，有個人想去城裡買一雙新鞋子。
Before leaving home, he measured his foot with a piece of straw for size.After he arrived at the town and entered a shoe shop, he put his hand into hispocket only to find that in his haste he had left the measurement at home.Thereupon, he turned round and started for home. But when he rushed back to theshoeshop with the measurement, the shop had closed. As a result, he had suanwenwbusied himself for nothing.
他離家前先用一根稻草量了自己的腳，把他當作尺碼。他到了城裡，走進鞋店，伸手摸口袋，從發現因為急著趕路，把尺碼忘在家裡了。於是，他轉身就往家裡跑。可是等他拿著尺碼趕回鞋店的時候，店已經關門了。結果，他白忙了一陣子，還是沒有買到鞋子。
Later, someone asked him:” Were you buying shoes for yourself or forothers? ”
後來，有人問他：“你是給自己買鞋，還是給別人買鞋?”
He answered:” For myself.”
他回答說：“是給我自己。
Someone else asked him:” Don’t you have your feet on yourself? You needonly to Try on shoes with your feet to get the right size. Why did you go backhome to fetch the measurement? “
別人又問他：“腳不是長在你自己身上嗎?英語小短文只要用你的腳去試試鞋子的大小，不就可以了嗎?為什麼還要回家去拿尺碼呢?“
The man of Zheng insisted:” I would rather trust the measurement than myown feet.”
那個鄭國人堅持說：“我寧願相信尺碼，也不相信自己的腳。“

We have only one earth.But now,the environment becomes worse and worse.Asyou know,there's no enough clean water for people.So many of them lose theirlives because of water.In a lot of countries,people have to cut trees forliving.So there's nothing to keep water from running away.Also we have pollutedthe land,the river and the air.Some people may say:we are the masters ofnature.Now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyondhis control.
the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for somecreatures including human beings.Facing all the disasters made by ourselves,wehave the responsibility to deal with the problem.
we must do something useful to protect our environment.We can plant treesand take good care of them.We can save the water and ask our parents to do so.Wecan't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them forrecycling.If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautifultomorrow.
我們只有一個地球.但是現在,環境變得越來越糟.如你所知,也沒有足夠的清潔飲水的人.所以許多人失去了他們的生命,因為水.在很多國家,人們不得不砍樹的生活.所以沒有什麼能阻止水的流失.我們還污染了土地,河流和空氣.有些人可能會說：我們是自然的主人.現在的“主人”似乎面臨的問題遠遠超出他的控制。
臭氧層的空洞使得地球不再適宜於某些生物包括人類生活.面對著自己造成的災難,我們有責任來處理這個問題。
我們必須做些什麼來保護環境.我們可以種樹,好好照顧他們.我們可以節約用水,並要求我們的父母這樣做.我們不能把垃圾丟在地上,我們應該收集回收.如果我們好好照顧我們的地球上,這將是更加美好的明天。

我相信從家中溫室出來的花朵，有的不是嬌弱與笨拙，而是聰慧與堅強。就算一個人，也不會孤單。這也許是很多人的寫照。第一次離開故土，第一次離開家，第一次離開爸爸媽媽，生活徹底的改變，取而代之的是陌生的面孔，但是下一刻，我們會感到熟悉，再沒有多久，這裡便會成為我們的另一個家。
初入嘉院，印象最為深刻的便是，一面校訓石刻，刻著“方正為人勤慎治學”八字。這是嘉興學院首任名譽院長、世界數學大師陳省身先生揮筆書寫的，也是其一生追求的做人做事做學問之標準。“方正為人，勤慎治學”對於老師們來說是師德之要，是學者之魂。“方正為人，勤慎治學”對於我們學生來說是成功之道，是成才之本。如此幸運，能來到嘉院學習生活。
初入校園的我們或許會很興奮，可這種興奮勁兒沒持續幾天，就會被接踵而來的茫然無措所代替，面對五彩斑斕的大學生活，我們不知道應該做些什麼，生活中有許多事情需要我們“自行解決” 。諸多的彷徨與無助，在多少個黑夜裡化為一行行熱淚。慶幸的是，在嘉院這個大家庭里，每一個人都充滿了熱情與耐心。我能深刻感受到人們對我的善意與幫助。美麗的校園裡處處都是可愛無比的人們。於是發現自己越來越熱愛這樣的校園，美妙的大學生活。似乎空氣也變得越來越甜美清香。
有一種對大學生活最經典最有意思的說法就是：魯迅先生的四部書：大一是《彷徨》，大二是《吶喊》，大三是《傷逝》，而大四則是《朝花夕拾》。別在彷徨時迷失自我，別在焦頭爛額時忘記吃飯，別在感慨時間飛逝時碌碌無為，別在回憶起來時充滿遺憾。愛在嘉院，愛在你我!
