as summer advanced. my enthusiasm as a teacher grew. i prepared my lesson carefully and even used some methods my teachers used. i organized many group activities to give the kids fun. strangely enough the heat was also becoming less and less unbearable. soon, my one-month volunnteer came to an end. when i was leaving my last class, i turned back and saw smiling faces and waving hands. never before had i ever had such a feeling of sadness. which was, nevertheless, mixed with a sense of enrichment, fulfillment and happiness. i was paid for my work, amply paid, not in terms of money, but something more valuable.
my english was improved, i was able to teach it, although not very professional. i learned about the grassroots-level society. inside myself a heart is growing. a heart that not only beats for myself. but cares for others as well. the volunteer work gave me a precious little chance of saying thanks. to people like the little boy's father who construct highways and undergrounds, build up modern skyscrapers, and make our cities more and more beautiful. to help the children with their english was all i could do at present to show my gratitude to these unsung heroes. the world may not have been fair to them. so privileged and blessed people like me make their life better. whatever i do for them, however, i know it can't be compared with what they have done to improve the quality of life in our cities. ladies and gentlemen. now i realize that voluntary shouldn't be just a one-time personal experience. it should be a lifetime activity of everybody. many of us are now offering assistance to the needy and to each other and our efforts have indeed made a difference schooling,---- or caring for the elderly in nursing homes, and helping out in 20xx beijing olympics, will not only contribute to the harmony of the world but elevate ourselves as well. emerson once said, "it's one of the most beautiful compensations of this life no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself" he was right. i hear that my university is going to organize another voluntary teaching program this summer. this time i won't be dragged in. i will volunteer. thank you !

But what attitude towards our marks should we take？
Truly， marks functions cannot be underestimated. In terms of test in our study， marks are fair and real. That is the reason why we say ＂Everyone is equal before marks. ＂
However， I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failure of students in exams. Sometimes， marks more than ten or less than one or two in our exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure in exams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s health etc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. ＂ Success or failure is common sense for military. ＂ I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. Don’t you think such will be the case with our study？ In exams， one cannot be ＂ never-defeated general＂ . Even though one will be very good in everyday study， he cannot succeed in every exam sometimes. We can get proof from the fact that the very best one we call ＂Number One Scholar＂ in the entrance exams for college and ordinary middle school and specialized secondary school over the years is not eminent above all others nor top student in every study.
As a matter of fact， ＂high marks＂ and ＂ability＂ are not unified. Some time ago， a new phrase ＂ high marks but poor competence＂ came into being. Once I happened to meet such a teacher as this .It is said that the teacher just graduated from a far-famed key university. But his teaching result is much less than that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. When lecturing， the teacher only repeated what the text-books says， which was very dull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching was short of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we know a few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. The reason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from books with pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in every exam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’t you think it waste training such persons for the country？
To sum up from the above， I can say marks are not absolutely authoritative for some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability and competence and if we only seek for the high marks， we will be absolutely wrong. We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should we neglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.

By implication, we see a 4-step definitions of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess. So you’d better find your princess as soon as possible; 2 ) challenges to be meet, as represented by the three tasks. Only if you directly meet the challenge, can you besuccessful; 3 ) the process of overcoming difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage. That’s all! Find your princess, meet challenges, overcome difficulties, and have a good life.

Our planet is in trouble!Almost every day we seem to hear of yet another problem affecting the environment - and what a list of problems!- pollution,acid rain,global warming,the destruction of rainforests and other wild habitats,the decline and extinction of thousands of species of animals and plants.and so on.
Nowadays,most of us know that these threats exist and that humans have caused them.Many of us are very worried about the future of our planet and unless we can find a way of solving the problems we have made then the environment will suffer even more.
It all sounds so depressing - but we certainly mustn't despair!Every one of us,whatever age we are,can do something to help slow down and reverse some of the damage.We cannot leave the problem-solving entirely to the experts - we all have a responsibility for our environment.We must learn to live in a sustainable way i.e.learn to use our natural resources which include air,freshwater,forests,wildlife,farmland and seas without damaging them.As populations expand and lifestyles change,we must keep the World in good condition so that future generations will have the same natural resources that we have.
Here are just a few ideas to help you to do something to protect our environment.
.plant more trees;
.saving energy and water;
.minimise waste;
.use as much public transport as you can;
.protect wild animals.

Our society became full of deception, indifference, intrigue, pressure, corruption, sinister, and we became irritable and not calm, detest the world and its ways. Our country seems to have become in a disastrous state too. A lot of young students who were nurtured by our motherland became impatient, let alone what are their dreams , what is the china dream ?

I was surprised ,when the old man fell down in the street,We are afraid to help him.I was disappointed ,when someone do good things were reported,many people think he was affectation, I was sad,when I saw many of young people become indifferent ,fraud and lack of ideal.
Are we sick, or is our dear motherland sick?

China dream actually lies in our young generation, especially of the intellectuals.

Over it there are two bridges .At the age of seven years old , I enjoyed the beautiful scenery under the bridge very much. It was the best place to swim in summer. But now the rubbish was getting more and more .Dish leaves,fruit skins,dead ducks and chickens….after rotting ,not only the mosquitos flew around but also the bad smell made everyone feel quite terrible.Though the stream was cleaned up several times, it’s still happening now. A lot of plastic bags always float on it .In summmer we have to go far away from the village to swim.
What causes this? Who is the devil?It’s the human ourselves. I have got to known from a book .The rubbish in the countryside mostly occupies the fields and damages the earth’s surface .It pollutes soil,wave ,atmosphere and damages our health. The adults often say “The body is capital.” But why are they able to make woollen cloth like this ? Does it affect everybody’s safe and sound life ?
Schoolmates, we are the host of society tomorrow . It’s our duty to improve and build the safe invironment.
Safety is in our hands .We must take park in more environmental protection activities, Plant more trees and flowers to make us live in a beautiful home with the blue sky ,blue water and green land forever.

and now i have been here two years. recalling to the two years i think i have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently learn how to get along with others learn to love learn to… oh there are too much things we have to learn.
comparing with senior high school college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college you must think and study yourself so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.
another relationship in college is friendship. my roommates have lived two years with me. in these years they forgive my faults cry with me laugh with me play with me… they always stand with me and support me i have learned a lot from them. i love them all and treasure the friendship with them.

現在我在這裡已經兩年了。回憶兩年我想我要談論一件事——學習。學習如何自學學習如何與他人相處學會愛學會…喔有太多的事情我們必須學習。
與高中相比大學是一個完全不同的地方。沒有很多人看你指導你如何做某事也有那么多的學生與你分享同一個夢想。在大學你必須思考和研究自己所以你要控制自己的學習和練習。
在大學的另一種關係是友誼。我的室友和我生活了兩年。這些年來他們原諒我的錯誤跟我哭和我笑和我玩…他們總是站在我和支持我我從他們身上學到了很多東西。我愛他們所有人珍惜和他們的友誼。
在未來2年內我將盡我最大的努力和社會做出偉大的貢獻!這就是我的大學生活。我珍惜在大學裡我經歷了。我愛你我的大學!

而我們國家的領導，總是對它國仁，說要繼承孔子思想，就是因為我們的仁，才使其它國家的領導，一次有一次的來占領我們的土地，我相信只要我們全國人民有毛澤東思想，那么其它國家就不敢來占領了。
如果我當上了主席，我一定不會讓其它國家占領我國，我不會一而再三的去講仁，我會用毛澤東思想來對付他們，讓他們知道我國不是好欺負的。
可是我想完成我的夢想時，終會面臨很多的難題，最重要的是我的學習不理想，要想考個大學是不容易的，更不可能當上，但我從來都沒有放棄過，因為我總相信一句話：重重困難後，就是美麗的彩虹，只有我面對了，戰勝了重重困難，就一定會遇見美麗的彩虹，不管別人怎么說我做白日夢，癩蛤蟆想吃天鵝肉，我都無所謂，因為這只是短暫的。
我相信，只要我有夢想，有追求，再困難的環境也沒有什麼關係。
