but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.

there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in whelmed by such a trend,chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.

with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture.

i have made a considerable amount of public english speaking in my life. i am often asked why the crazy english method is better than other methods or if the crazy english method will help all english learners. my answer is: the method will help the english learners because it is a perfect match with the chinese principles of diligence, self-help and determination. mere exposure to english will not enable you to speak english. if you want to drive you have to get in the car and drive, if you want to dance you have to turn on the music and dance, if you want to swim you have to jump in the water and swim. in fact, swimming is the perfect comparison to learning english. you can’t learn to swim by sitting in a room and reading books about swimming skills. in order to be a swimmer, you’ve got to conquer you fear, you’ve got to survive and suck in water, yell for help, you’ve got to lose face many times before you can make it. but, to be a good swimmer you’ve got to practice again and again. to be a great swimmer you have to practice for years until you can harmonize every part of your body and mind.

We have reasons to say proudly： we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges (挑戰) are great, but our will is even greater.

When I came back from the USA, my friends asked me: “How do you feel about your staying there?” “Wonderful” I said. “Then why do you come back?” Hearing this, I told them there were lots of beautiful countries in the world, but none of them can compare with our own country—China. How true the saying is: “There’s no place like home!”

I love you, China. As a young student, all we should do is to study hard and devote ourselves whole-heartedly in the future, to the great cause of building you into an even stronger and greater country in the world. I love you, my dear motherland! I love you, China!

I love English

When I was seven, I started learning English. I played games and sang English songs with other children. Sometimes, I watched English cartoons. It's funny. Then I discovered the beauty of the

language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.

I hope I can travel around the world someday. I want to go to America to visit Washington, because my cousin is over there. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge University, I will be very happy.

I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. Also I'll introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, and the gardens in Suzhou. I will teaching people of the world about the beautiful language of our country.

I like the English language. To learn English is wonderful. I once wanted to be an English teacher . I also like Chinese literature. When I was really young, I was able to remember lots of poems. I like sports

Good morning, Everyone!

I will talk about sports. I am an active boy. I like many kinds of sports, such as walking, skating, climbing, cycling and skipping. Doing sports gives me a good health and brings me a lot of fun.

Now, I will tell you about my cycling sport. I often ride my bicycle when I am free. I like to ride my bicycle on a road near my house. It is an empty road. There are no cars and few people walking on the road. It is about four kilometers long. It has several long slopes. So it is very good for cycling. When I ride down the slopes, the bicycle runs very fast, and I feel I am flying. That’s a very good feeling for me. When I ride up the slopes, it is very difficult, but it is a good training for me. 如何充分發揮國小英語在實現教育目標中的功能，從而體現國小英語在整個課程中的地位和作用，是國小英語教學必須重視的問題。英語學習的啟蒙階段是非常重要的，教學的成功與否將對學生的終身學習產生深遠影響。國小開設英語課程的目的在於培養學生學習英語的積極情感，形成初步的英語語感，打好語音、語調的基礎，具備用所學英語進行交流的初級能力。通過英語課程的學習，豐富社會生活經歷、開拓視野、樹立學習的自信心。為此在實際教學中我們要求廣大教師積極實踐和探索，在教學目標、課程實施、教學方法、教學評價等方面做到層層推進。在實踐過程中應該明確以下幾點：

1.在教學總體目標上，重興趣、重成就感、重自信心的培養。教師通過多種激勵的方式，如獎品激勵、任務激勵、榮譽激勵、信任激勵和情感激勵等，激發學生積極參與、大膽實踐、體驗成功的喜悅。有了成就感，就有了自信心，學生就會渴望學習英語；在課程實施上，重環境、重頻率、重效率。教學中特彆強調語言環境的創設，充分利用和開發電視、錄音、錄像、光碟等多種媒體，豐富教學內容、活躍教學氣氛、創設生動和真實的語言環境。儘量在課堂上創造真實的情境，克服課時少的困難，並且按排早讀課及時複習，保證學生高頻率的接觸英語，為學生創造有效的學習條件，提高學習效率；在語言教學目標上，重語感、重語音語調基礎、重交流能力。學校和教師積極創造條件，提供良好的語言環境和設備，通過提供大量的感知、體驗、模仿等實踐活動，幫助學生形成初步的語感。語音語調的學習包括發音、重音、語調、節奏和語流等多方面，教學中要求教師防止以單音準確為目的的教學，通過多聽、多模仿，在有意義的語境中進行訓練，奠定語音語調的基礎。強調要培養學生交流能力就要創設交流的情景，使學生通過交流發展交流的能力。

2.在教學模式和方法上，重體驗、重實踐、重參與、重創造。要求教學設計貼近生活，符合小學生興趣的需求；教學內容能引起學生的興趣，例如韻律詩歌、寓言故事、會話表演、遊戲等；教學的語言材料要真實、實用。學生在課上通過用中學、學中用，反覆實踐，學用結合。功能、結構、話題、任務做到有機結合；以話題為核心，以功能和結構為主線，以任務型活動為目標安排各單元或各課的教學；通過視、聽、說、玩、唱、畫、游、讀、寫、譯等饒有趣味的活動，讓學生接觸足夠量的語言材料，保證輸入量，“習得”與“學得”結合，使學生逐步培養起初步的語感；通過大量語言材料的輸入，特別是聲像材料的示範，學生模仿，教師指導，使學生逐步形成良好的語音、語調、書寫、拼讀的習慣。設計任務型活動，開放空間，激活學生的思維，培養創造思維。自始至終引導學生通過完成具體任務活動來學習語言，讓學生為了特定的學習目的去進行特定的語言活動，通過完成特定的交際任務來獲得和積累相應的學習經驗。教學方法要多樣，且生動活潑，激發學生的學習興趣。充分利用教科書中的課文創設栩栩如生的情景，為學生提供使用英語進行交流的機會。實踐中，我們發現每當孩子們進入角色，成功地做成一件事，他們便情不自禁，喜形於色，因此興趣倍增、信心加強，動機和情意受到了很大的激勵。同時要求布置的練習形式要多種多樣，做到手、腦、口、耳、眼、肢、體並用，靜態、動態相結合，基本操練與自由練習相結合，單項和綜合練習相結合。通過大量的實踐，使學生具有良好的語音、語調、書寫和拼讀的基礎，並能用英語表情達意，開展簡單的交流活動。

二、創設良好的語言學習環境，擴展英語教學的時空。

⒈靈活安排教學組織和課堂，以學生為主體，充分調動學生的積極性，開展兩人小組、多人小組、成行、成排、半班等多種形式的活動。這是國小英語教學的重要特點之一。只有開展這些活動才能使每一個學生充分地參與課堂實踐，才能體現出語言的交際性，才能實現師生之間和學生之間的互動性。課堂上課桌椅的擺放形式根據教學的需要採用不同的方式——秧田式、半圓式、全圓式、雙圓式等，目的是為了更好地開展各種教學活動。這樣做可以促進師生之間的情感交流，而且可以幫助學生培養起互相關心，合作的團隊精神。

⒉採用多種媒體的現代化教學手段，創設良好的語言環境和充分的語言實踐機會，最佳化教學過程。利用英語教學音像資源——圖畫、圖表、投影、錄音、錄像、cd、vcd、dvd等多媒體軟體，不僅能為學生提供規範的語音、語調，還可以提供真實自然的語言使用的示範，即語言使用的場合、時間、對象等，而且還有體態語——手勢、動作、表情等的示範。多種媒體的運用使教學變得生動、形象、活潑，感染力強，容易激發學生興趣，引起有意注意，加深印象，幫助學生持久記憶。充分利用現代化教學手段，可以超越時間和空間的限制，使學生置身於以英語為母語的環境中，體驗英語的實際運用。多媒體課件的使用可以使教學過程程式化，大大提高教學的效率，這一點對我們農村學校課時少的國小英語課尤為重要。

⒊把英語學習從有限的課內時空擴展到無限的課外時空，成立小小英語角、學校布置英語走廊、讓學生製作英語畫刊等各種形式的活動極大地提高了學生學英語的熱情，讓學生感受到英語無處不在、無時不學。

三、努力總結和發現問題，及時調整教學策略。

在實際教學過程中，教師應積極實踐，不斷探索，針對實際工作中出現的問題和學生身心特點，總結規律，認真思考，不斷摸索。尤其是在課堂教學中教師應具備良好的'應變機制。以下圖表是國小三年級英語課堂教學中的一些實際案例。從中我們可能會有所提示。

like every other -- like every other citizen, i wish the new president, and all who will labor with him, godspeed. i pray that the coming years will be blessed with peace and prosperity for all.

our people expect their president and the congress to find essential agreement on issues of great moment, the wise resolution of which will better shape the future of the nation. my own relations with the congress, which began on a remote and tenuous basis when, long ago, a member of the senate appointed me to west point, have since ranged to the intimate during the war and immediate post-war period, and finally to the mutually interdependent during these past eight years. in this final relationship, the congress and the administration have, on most vital issues, cooperated well, to serve the nation good, rather than mere partisanship, and so have assured that the business of the nation should go forward. so, my official relationship with the congress ends in a feeling -- on my part -- of gratitude that we have been able to do so much together.

we now stand ten years past the midpoint of a century that has witnessed four major wars among great nations. three of these involved our own country. despite these holocausts, america is today the strongest, the most influential, and most productive nation in the world. understandably proud of this pre-eminence, we yet realize that america's leadership and prestige depend, not merely upon our unmatched material progress, riches, and military strength, but on how we use our power in the interests of world peace and human betterment.

throughout america's adventure in free government, our basic purposes have been to keep the peace, to foster progress in human achievement, and to enhance liberty, dignity, and integrity among peoples and among nations. to strive for less would be unworthy of a free and religious people. any failure traceable to arrogance, or our lack of comprehension, or readiness to sacrifice would inflict upon us grievous hurt, both at home and abroad.

progress toward these noble goals is persistently threatened by the conflict now engulfing the world. it commands our whole attention, absorbs our very beings. we face a hostile ideology global in scope, atheistic in character, ruthless in purpose, and insiduous [insidious] in method. unhappily, the danger it poses promises to be of indefinite duration. to meet it successfully, there is called for, not so much the emotional and transitory sacrifices of crisis, but rather those which enable us to carry forward steadily, surely, and without complaint the burdens of a prolonged and complex struggle with liberty the stake. only thus shall we remain, despite every provocation, on our charted course toward permanent peace and human betterment.

crises there will continue to be. in meeting them, whether foreign or domestic, great or small, there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties. a huge increase in newer elements of our defenses; development of unrealistic programs to cure every ill in agriculture; a dramatic expansion in basic and applied research -- these and many other possibilities, each possibly promising in itself, may be suggested as the only way to the road we wish to travel.

but each proposal must be weighed in the light of a broader consideration: the need to maintain balance in and among national programs, balance between the private and the public economy, balance between the cost and hoped for advantages, balance between the clearly necessary and the comfortably desirable, balance between our essential requirements as a nation and the duties imposed by the nation upon the individual, balance between actions of the moment and the national welfare of the future. good judgment seeks balance and progress. lack of it eventually finds imbalance and frustration. the record of many decades stands as proof that our people and their government have, in the main, understood these truths and have responded to them well, in the face of threat and stress.

but threats, new in kind or degree, constantly arise. of these, i mention two only.

a vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction. our military organization today bears little relation to that known of any of my predecessors in peacetime, or, indeed, by the fighting men of world war ii or korea.

now this conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the american experience. the total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every statehouse, every office of the federal government. we recognize the imperative need for this development. yet, we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. our toil, resources, and livelihood are all involved. so is the very structure of our society.

in the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. the potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. we must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. we should take nothing for granted. only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

during the long lane of the history yet to be written, america knows that this world of ours, ever growing smaller, must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect. such a confederation must be one of equals. the weakest must come to the conference table with the same confidence as do we, protected as we are by our moral, economic, and military strength. that table, though scarred by many fast frustrations -- past frustrations, cannot be abandoned for the certain agony of disarmament -- of the battlefield.

disarmament, with mutual honor and confidence, is a continuing imperative. together we must learn how to compose differences, not with arms, but with intellect and decent purpose. because this need is so sharp and apparent, i confess that i lay down my official responsibilities in this field with a definite sense of disappointment. as one who has witnessed the horror and the lingering sadness of war, as one who knows that another war could utterly destroy this civilization which has been so slowly and painfully built over thousands of years, i wish i could say tonight that a lasting peace is in sight.

happily, i can say that war has been avoided. steady progress toward our ultimate goal has been made. but so much remains to be done. as a private citizen, i shall never cease to do what little i can to help the world advance along that road.

so, in this, my last good night to you as your president, i thank you for the many opportunities you have given me for public service in war and in peace. i trust in that -- in that -- in that service you find some things worthy. as for the rest of it, i know you will find ways to improve performance in the future.

Shakespeare played a critical role in shaping modern English and helping to make it the world's language. I remember from my own childhood how many of them are found for the first time in Henry V. Words like dishearten, divest, addiction, motionless, leapfrog – and phrases like "once more unto the breach", "band of brothers" and "heart of gold" – have all passed into our language today with no need to reference their original context. Shakespeare also pioneered innovative use of grammatical form and structure – including verse without rhymes, superlatives and the connecting of existing words to make new words, like bloodstained – while the pre-eminence of his plays also did much to standardise spelling and grammar.

But Shakespeare's influence is felt far beyond our language. His words, his plots and his characters continue to inspire much of our culture and wider society. Nelson Mandela, while a prisoner on Robben Island, cherished a quote from Julius Caesar which said "Cowards die many times before their death, the valiant never taste of death but once." While Kate Tempest's poem "My Shakespeare" captures the eternal presence of Shakespeare when she wrote that Shakespeare "…is in every lover who ever stood alone beneath a window…every jealous whispered word and every ghost that will not rest." As we see from the outreach work of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare's Globe and the impact of pioneering British charities like the Shakespeare Schools Festival, studying and performing Shakespeare can help improve literacy, confidence and wider educational attainment.

horrible; my average grade was below C. I almost thought it impossible to learn English. Then, one day she told me she strongly believed that I was capable of controlling my life, and I would be just fine. She said that she found we were much alike: Both were stubborn, kind-hearted and a little bit simple-minded. She believed that I had the quality of becoming wise. She even said that she didn’t have any worries about me, about my not learning English. With her encouragement, I found the strength within myself and began to desire to work even harder. As a result, I soon proved her right, and at the end of the semester, I got a 3.8 average grade. Today, I still keep in touch with her, and she still tells me how she believes in me. Sometimes, I’d think back, and wonder how I could handle all those things if it wasn’t for her encouragement and trust. Could I be the person I am today? Then, it struck me: What we need has always been trust and love of others; because these things inspire us to do our best, and to live our life to its fullest.

To sum up, I’d like to say to all of you: Let us all appreciate trust and love of others and achieve our full potential in our life!

愛與信任

多年的學生生涯讓我認識了不少的老師，每一位老師都不一樣。但最讓我無法忘懷的是我在西雅圖所上的國中里的一位華裔雙語老師——何老師。這位老師對我有特殊的意義，因為她給我的不是課堂上能收穫的東西。

我剛到那所國中的第一個學期，可謂舉步維艱。當時我是從一所雙語學校轉入那所公立普通學校的。那時，我剛到美國兩個月，英語差到無法與人溝通。在雙語學校中的各科平均成績在C以下。就在我對學習英語快要失去信心的時候，在學校中幾個星期的時間卻讓我與何老師成為了朋友。在我灰心泄氣的時候，何老師對我說，她非常相信我的能力，一切都會好起來的。她說她覺得我們很相似，我有那種克服困難的能力，更不要說學英語這個問題了。在她的鼓舞下，我找到了努力的欲望。結果，我驗證了她所說的話。學期末，我的平均成績上升到了3.8。

直到今天，我還與何老師保持聯絡，她也還會告訴我她是多么的相信我的能力。有的時候，當我回想起往事時，我會想：如果沒有這位老師在我身後鼓勵我，並且固執地一再告訴我我一定能行，今天的我，還會是這個樣子嗎?面對種種困難，我自己會一直有勇氣去面對嗎?一次次的回想，我終於發現了：原來我們每個人都需要愛與信任。就有了自信，因為有了愛與信任，我們就會盡最大的努力，活出我們的“真我風采”。

最後，我想對大家說：讓我們感激所得到的愛與信任，發揮出我們生命中最大的潛力吧!

自工作以來，我一直兢兢業業，勤奮工作，所教科目成績一直據全鎮前列，特別是近幾年來從事國小英語教學，所教班級多次獲得全鎮第一名，個人也多次被評為鎮教育先進工作者、優秀教師，區優秀教師，個人年考核優秀等次的榮譽稱號，並有多篇論文在市級報紙發表。

下面我談一下，我競聘英語教師的幾個優勢和條件：

1。有良好的師德

我為人處事的原則是：老老實實做人，認認真真工作，開開心心生活。自己一貫注重個人品德素質的培養，努力做到尊重領導，團結同志，工作負責，辦事公道，不計較個人得失，對工作對同志有公心，愛心，平常心和寬容心。自從參加工作以來，我首先在師德上嚴格要求自己，要做一個合格的人民教師！認真學習和領會上級教育主管部門的檔案精神，與時俱進，愛崗敬業，為人師表，熱愛學生，尊重學生，爭取讓每個學生都能享受到最好的教育，都能有不同程度的發

從選擇教師這門職業的第一天起，我最大的心愿就是做一名受學生歡迎的`好老師，為了這個心愿，我一直在不懈努力著。要求自己做到牢固掌握本學科的基本理論知識。

熟悉相關學科的文化知識，不斷更新知識結構，精通業務，精心施教，把握好教學的難點重點，認真探索教學規律，鑽研教學藝術，努力形成自己的教學特色。我的教學風格和教學效果普遍受到學生的認可和歡迎。

以上所述情況，是我競聘英語教師的優勢條件，假如我有幸競聘上崗，這些優勢條件將有助於我更好的開展英語教學工作。

如果我有幸競聘成功，能擔任三四年級英語教師的話，我將從以下方面開展工作。

做一個富有愛心的老師

“不愛學生就教不好學生”，“愛學生就要愛每一個學生”。作為一名教師，要無私地奉獻愛，處處播灑愛，使我的學生在愛的激勵下，增強自信，勇於創新，不斷進取，成長為撐起祖國一片藍天的棟樑。用質樸的心愛護學生，用誠摯的情感染學生，用精湛的教學藝術薰陶學生，用忘我的工作態度影響學生。
