Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind.
Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.

各位家長：
大家下午好!首先我要感謝各位家長的到來。您的到來是對我們的教學工作的支持，也是對孩子學習的重視。孩子的教育需要家庭和學校相互的配合和支持，作為七年級一班的英語老師，我特別希望能都得到大家的支持，希望您能和我一起幫助孩子學習英語。
今天我的發言有三個方面。首先，我想和大家一起談談學習英語的重要性。作為一名家長我們應該知道英語關係每一個學生的未來的成績與繼續學習的發展。因為國中考高中，高中考大學，大學後考研讀博，其中必考的科目便是英語，如果要出國留學，考toefl、考gre、考ielts，這一切都是英語。因此，英語幾乎伴隨每一個學生的一生。進入國中後，英語的地位發生了重大的變化，由國小時侯的副課變得和語文數學一樣重要，在中考和高考中，英語和語文數學一樣都是120和150分的總分。對於孩子來講，七年級是一個很好的重新建立信心，學好英語的機會，我們是從最基本的abc開始學的，即使以前沒有任何基礎，從現在開始認真學也是可以把英語學好的。很多孩子在國小都沒有重視英語，家長也沒有過多關注，我希望我們家長在了解了英語的重要性後能和孩子一起重視英語。
你們思想上重視了，無形中也給孩子以薰陶，重視與不重視肯定是完全不同的，在英語課堂上，大部分學生都能很活躍的回答老師提出的問題，積極跟著老師拼讀單詞，朗讀課文。其實這也製造了一種假象，學生認為自己常常被老師提問，認為自己能夠回答老師的問題，於是認為自己的英語學得很不錯，自我感覺特別好。於是下課後在英語上花的時間就少了。其實要學好英語，課上占40%，其餘的60%還需要學生在課後不斷的鞏固，加深記憶。在課上老師更多的是教授新知識，當然課上也會有少量的時間鞏固新學的知識。但是這些時間是公共的時間，而不是每個學生私有的時間，所以不可能照顧到每個學生，不可能讓所有學生都達到相同的程度。況且每個學生對新知識得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能當堂就已經有很深的印象，很難忘記，但這肯定是很少的。大部分學生都只能是初步接觸了新知識，要真正接受新知識還要學生在課後多下功夫，不然肯定會和別的同學拉下差距。
第二，我想講講英語的學習方法。英語畢竟不是我們自己的語言，大多數學生除了英語課其餘時間根本就不會想到要說英語，所以，在課後一定要主動抽時間為自己補習英語。學好英語，不外乎就是在聽，說，讀，寫這些方面下功夫。
首先說一下聽，不少學生都有和書相配套的磁帶，復讀機，學習機，可是請各位家長檢查一下自己的子女的英語磁帶，有多少學生的磁帶還是和剛發的時候一樣的，根本就沒有聽過。光靠上課聽一點點的磁帶，學生的聽力根本就不能有什麼發展。不會聽就不能說，而說白了，學了英語就是要說，聽錄音機跟讀，目的應該是兩種，一種同學是上課沒有完全消化，聽錄音是補充學習的過程，另外一種是提高自己的聽力和口語表達能力，要學生盡力地去模仿錄音機里的發音，從而使自己的聽力和口語都提高一個層次。
接下來是說，英語是一門語言，學了就是要說，要和別人交流。我們學的英語不應該是啞巴英語，要讓每個學生學會勇敢地說出來。在課上我會用各種方法來刺激學生，激發他們說英語的積極性，大多數學生也確實做得很好。放學回家也要說。在學校，我鼓勵學生把所學的英語對話運用到生活中去，這樣有更真實的情景，更能讓學生有發揮的餘地。在家裡，希望家長也能鼓勵學生說英語，也許你會說你自己也聽不懂，請不要這樣想，其實學生需要是你的鼓勵，你聽了他們說的只要簡單表揚一句，他們就會很滿足了。有時候你們也可以不懂裝懂，或者還可以讓學生反過來教你，他們會覺得很自豪，因為自己所學派上了用場。
接下來是讀。有句話：“讀書破萬卷，下筆如有神。”學英語也是這樣，很多家長也明白，學英語要培養語感，也就是語言的感覺，如果有很好的語感，那么不管是說話，做題目，還是寫文章，都很輕鬆，很簡單了。那么語感怎么來呢?就是靠讀出來的。一定要讓學生養成每天讀英語的習慣，這是學英語的最基本的學習習慣了。每天早上一定要讀20分鐘左右的英語，哪怕有時候時間來不及了，即使是遲到也要讀，並且每天都堅持，絕不因任何原因間斷。無論什麼事情都貴在堅持嘛。如果你的子女還沒有養成這樣的學習習慣，請你一定要督促他，剛開始也許會比較難，時間久了，就會習慣成自然。就像早上起來要刷牙洗臉一樣，要讓他們把讀英語當作每天必做的一件事。
最後是寫。主要就是單詞短語的默寫/聽寫，這是學英語的必經之路。單詞往往背過就容易會忘記，所以要不斷的背默寫，不斷的翻新。背單詞的時候要邊拼邊寫，嘴巴和手都要動起來，嘴上十遍不如手上一遍。家長在這裡要作好檢查督促的工作，不要用不懂英語來幫助你的孩子學會偷懶，你可以報中文，讓你的孩子默寫，然後對照書本批改訂正，每天堅持的話，你一定會有意想不到的效果。還有句型，學生應該在課上領會句型的意思和運用方法。課後還需要通過多讀課文，多練習才能鞏固所學的句型。所以請各位家長不光要注重孩子背單詞短語的情況，還要讓他重視句子的重要性。
第三，我想說說我們班英語學習的狀況。初一階段的教學主要是要培養學生學習英語的興趣，養成良好的學習英語的習慣。我的課堂也是圍繞聽、說、讀、寫幾個方面對所學知識進行操練和運用。通過這一個月教學，我發現我們班大部分學生都自尊心強，上進心強，都能很用心認真的學習英語，這使我對他們充滿信心。但是也發現了以下問題：
1.學習態度不夠端正。上課聽講不專心，愛開小差;講了的作業交上來還是錯誤的;
2.不能按時完成最基本的學習任務。單詞，詞組和課文不會背不會寫不會默，達不到要求也不努力去完成。還有拖欠作業的情況。很多男生自律性較差，很懶惰，今天拖明天明天拖後天。
3.學習習慣差。沒有做到每天記單詞，或者記單詞不動筆，上課記筆記要點名提醒，聽力不做預測，寫完作文從來不檢查，英語課文和筆記課後從來不讀不看不記。從來不做閱讀，導致考試速度慢，效果差。
針對以上問題，我也研究了一些方法和策略，需要各位家長的配合和支持。
1、督促學生在家聽英語磁帶，最好能每天堅持聽5——10分鐘，這將對孩子的學習有很大幫助。
2、爭取消化當天所學的單詞，不要積壓任務。每天堅持檢查10個單詞，一本書的單詞也只要一個月就記完了。我每天都會組織一次聽寫，錯誤比較多的同學會及時讓他們改正。請家長要檢查聽寫本。
3、請家長督促孩子在家裡完成家庭作業，以免他們來學校在匆忙之中互相抄襲。每天回家要求記本單元的單詞，有時會默寫2a部分課文。這也是為了給學生一點點壓力，讓他們知道父母會經常檢查他們的作業本，一定要認真寫才行。
4、每天要學會預習、複習。如果你的孩子英語基礎不是很好，可以督促他們先在家查字典。
總之，我和各位家長有著共同的心愿，都想儘自己最大的努力去培養這些孩子，他們個個都聰明、可愛，只是有些孩子的潛能還沒有得到充分的發掘。七年級我的目標是不讓一個學生掉隊。今後，我也希望和各位家長保持聯繫，如果孩子遇到學習問題我們及時溝通。
