大家都知道，地球上只有植物才能吸收二氧化碳，呼出氧氣。科學家曾經實驗並計算過3棵樹1天吸收的二氧化碳相當於1個成年人1天呼出的二氧化碳。照這樣計算，植物對於人類實在是太重要了。所以，我們一定要好好保護植物。假如我是一棵小樹，我要向那些只知道蓋房子、建工廠、做家具的人們和那些亂砍亂伐的人們提出忠告：請不要再亂砍伐我們樹木了，也不要再亂踐踏我們的小草兄弟了。否則，我們的家族就會被砍光、伐光、踩死的。到那時，整個兒地球將會成為二氧化碳的世界，直接威脅到地球媽媽和她千千萬萬個子孫後代的生存!因此，我們必須下大力氣去制止這些公害和私害的發生。而且，我們還要大量植樹，淨化空氣，綠化我們的地球母親!
我們不僅要在世界地球日這天保護地球，而應該把每天都當作世界地球日來看待，時時刻刻保護我們的地球。
