在除夕的前一天，我就幫著媽媽和外婆做除夕的準備：打掃衛生、接待客人、包餃子什麼的。這些活兒雖然很累，但是做起來可好玩兒了，尤其是做餃子的時候。
那些色鮮味美的餃子一個個看似十分簡單，其實做起來可複雜了哩。先要把之前預備好的麵粉和水和在一起，使勁兒的揉、搓、壓一番，然後用擀麵杖把它們擀成一張張薄薄的餃子皮兒。我經過好一番努力，終於擀出了第一張自己做的餃子皮!我把它輕輕地攤在手上，生怕它一不小心破掉。餃子皮已經全部完工!現在應該開始好好地準備餃子的餡兒了。媽媽用菜刀麻溜地躲著肉末，外婆則在一旁洗著芹菜。我的任務呢，十八豬肉末和芹菜和在一起，做成豬肉芹菜餡。不一會兒的工夫，餃子餡兒也全部完工。剩下的工作就由那些經驗豐富的舅媽們來完成，我們小孩子只等著第二天除夕品嘗美味的餃子了!
終於到了期盼已久的除夕夜了!外婆家裡聚滿了親朋好友，大家圍在大圓桌四周，吃起了團圓飯和我們昨天包的餃子。男人們喝酒，女人們看春晚，小孩子們都吵著鬧著要到院子裡放鞭炮，真是熱鬧極了。
到了大年初一，由於昨夜守歲的原因，我整個上午都賴在床上睡著懶覺，心裡還想著昨晚和小夥伴們打鬧的情景。
這真是一個充滿傳統文化氣息的十分快樂的除夕夜!
