first，firstly
這兩個詞的意義很近似，又都有首先、第一之意，但使用場合不盡一致。
First的使用範圍較大，可以作名詞、形容詞和副詞，有時還可以代替firstly使用；firstly的運用範圍較小，只能作副詞，用於列舉事實或理由的場合。
漢語裡的首先、第一，在英語中是firstly、first of all、in the first place或乾脆說first；但漢語中的最後一點，英語裡卻不說last，而是說lastly或last of all，這是應當記住的。
下面是first和firstly通用的例句：
