聖誕節不可缺少的12項元素：
1. santa claus 聖誕老人
聖誕老人是一位身穿紅袍、頭戴紅帽的白鬍子老爺爺。
2. reindeer 馴鹿
每年聖誕節聖誕老人駕著馴鹿拉的雪橇從北方來，由煙囪進入各家，把聖誕禮物裝在襪子裡掛在孩子們的床頭上或火爐前。

常青樹象徵著寒冬的結束。
5.star 星星
每棵聖誕樹的頂端都有一顆最大的星星,象徵著三位智者跟隨該星而找到耶穌。
6.bell 鈴鐺
教堂的鐘聲宣告著耶穌的誕生。
7.candle 蠟燭
燭光代表耶穌將光明帶給人間。
8.stocking 聖誕襪
孩子在聖誕夜臨睡之前，要在壁爐前或枕頭旁放上一隻襪子，等候聖誕老人在他們入睡後把禮物放在襪子內。
9.christmas card 聖誕卡
是祝賀聖誕及新年的賀卡，上面印著關於耶穌降生故事的圖畫，以及"慶祝聖誕"、"新年快樂"之類祝願的話。
10.present 禮物
最初的聖誕禮物是由三個智者帶給剛剛誕生的耶穌的。
11.candy cane 聖誕手杖
形狀 j 代表耶穌 （jesus）手杖上的白色象徵著耶穌純真的秉性，紅色象徵著耶穌為人們受難後流出的血，手杖的堅硬象徵著可靠。
12.cookies 聖誕曲奇
源於羅馬人給議員分發甜餅，因此每年聖誕節基督教徒也會接受牧師發放的小甜餅。
