實踐階段,主要進行大量的會話練習,與他人對話、討論,基礎好的可練習口譯,自己講英語故事等等。
(一)模仿
模仿是學習外語主要方法之一,模仿的原則:
一要大聲模仿。這一點很重要,模仿時要大大方方,清清楚楚,一板一眼,口形要到位,不能扭扭捏捏,小聲小氣地在嗓眼裡嘟嚷。剛開始模仿時,速度要慢些,以便把音發到位,侍把音發準了以後,再加快速度。直到能用正常語速把句子輕鬆他說出來,脫口而出。大聲模仿的目的是使口腔的肌肉充分活動起來,改變多年來形成的肌肉的習慣運動模式(漢語發音的運動模式),使嘴與大腦逐漸協調起來,建立起新的口腔肌肉的運動模式(英語發音的運動模式)。若在練習時總是小聲在嗓眼裡嘟嗓,一旦需要大聲說話時,就可能發不準音,出現錯誤。
二要隨時都準備糾正自己說不好的單詞。短語等。有了這種意識,在模仿時就不會覺得單調。枯燥,才能主動。有意識,有目的地去模仿,這種模仿才是真正的模仿,才能達到模仿的目的,也就是要用心揣摩、體會。
三要堅持長期模仿。一般來說,純正。優美的語音、語調不是短期模仿所能達到的,對於有英國英語基礎的人學說美國英語是如此,對於習慣於說漢語的人學說英語更是如此。過度需要一段時間,時間的長短取於自學者的專心程度。練習模仿是件苦差事,常常練得口乾舌燥,此時一定要堅持,喝口水繼續練。練模仿和燒水是一個道理、今天燒把火,水剛熱,就把火撤了,明天又是如此,水永遠也燒不開。
模仿的標準:模仿要達到什麼程度才算模仿好了呢?簡單他說就是要“像”,如果能夠達到“是”就更好了,但不一定要達到“是”。“像”是指模仿者的語音,語調等都很接近所模仿的語言,“是”就是不僅在語音。語調等方面都很接近所模仿的聲音,而且非常逼真。連嗓音也基本一樣,簡直可以以假亂真。我們不要求也不可能達到這種程度。
模仿的具體方法,第一步,模仿卑詞的語音。模仿時要一板一眼,口形要正確,口腔肌肉要充分調動起來,剛開始模仿時,速度不要過快,用慢速模仿,以便把音發到位,待把音發難了以後,再加快速度,用正常語速反覆多說幾遍,直到達到不用想就能用正常語速把句子輕鬆他說出來(脫口而出),對於自己讀不準或較生疏的單詞要反覆多聽幾遍,然後再反覆模仿,一個單詞一個單詞地練,在那些常用詞上下功夫,儘量模仿得像一些。第二步,模仿詞組的讀法。有了第一步的基礎,這一步就容易多了。重點要放在熟練程度和流利程度上,要多練一下連讀。失去爆破、不完全爆破,同化等語音技巧。第四步,段落及篇章模仿,重點在於提高流利程度。打開錄音機或收音機跟著模仿,“他”說你模仿,同步進行。目的要提高口腔肌肉的反應速度,使肌肉和大腦更加協調起來。
模仿練習時要注意一個問題,就是害羞心理。害羞心理一方面源於性格,一般性格內向的人,講話時易小聲小氣,這對學習英語語音語調很不利,要注意克服。另一方面是源於自卑心理,總以為自己英語水平太差,不敢開口,尤其是當與口語水平比自己高的人對話時,更易出現這種情況。克服這種心理障礙,是學好口語的前提。
