i’m a student of xxx, hoping to study at hong kong university. i’m going to introduce myself and reasons for the choice as follow.
above all, the strength is one of the major aspects to encourage me to apply for hk university. the self-control, extensive social skill, high sense of responsibility, strong organization ability is what i acquired from my high school. i have served as vice-minister of propaganda department of students’ union for a year. this precious experience enhances my ability of organization and social contacts,and makes me handle the balance between work and study well. what’s more, i have expansive interests such as painting, writing and playing volleyball. so, up till now i have participated in various activities and all gained good results. with all this things i have learnt, i truly find my connotation become rich and rich.
when comes to the reason why i choose hku, the first thing occurs to me is the atmosphere. hong kong’s inherent chinese and western culture has a powerful attraction on me. only studying at hk, can i broaden my horizons at a more open and freedom stage. anticipating a collision of concept, i cannot wait to take this challenge, because young heart will never satisfy.
in my eyes, hku is a university with profound historical culture and free academic exchange. i’m a student of arts, and as far as i know, hong kong university’s faculty arts are pretty famous, for it is one of faculties that have the longest history and largest scale. all the advantages are just great enough to light my passion.

being a professor in shanghai finance and economics university, i had given six lectures to hua sheng as an auditing teacher when she studied accountancy there as her second major, and had been her supervisor when she worked as an intern in my credit rating company. she had listened to me so attentively that many of the cases we studied in class were applied to her work effectively.
i was really impressed by hua sheng’s performance during her five-week internship. in order to be more competent in the field of credit rating, she volunteered to assume more tasks, and further offered to work overtime with other regular employees. however hard the tasks were, she always managed to fulfill them with flying colors. such devotion to her career even as an intern is rarely seen in her peers. as she had done well in her accounting major, with an average score of 85 for the core courses, in addition to her remarkable learning ability, hua sheng was capable of doing some of the basic businesses in the company, and thus understanding the know-how of accounting more profoundly. she visited and researched fifteen companies in all, big or small, home or abroad, within the twenty-five weekdays. i could see a clear mind and a strong logic in her participation in writing credit rating reports. she was able to accomplish her own assignments independently while at the same time communicating smoothly/articulately/explicitly and cooperating excellently with all of the five teachers, who had given her some instructions during the internship, further she had raised a few profound questions in the specialty of credit rating. all in all, her work was highly appraised by everyone in the company.

serving as his thesis advisor?i had a first-hand opportunity to observe the way in which wang's mind works. in his senor thesis?mr. wang mainly discussed two challenging questions in regards to′ann′。 in our books in china?knowledge of annits uses are very rare. few people in china have studied this topicconsequently?the materials that are available on ann are limited. working on this difficult project?not only did mr. wang rise to the challenge?but he went abovebeyond the call of duty to analyze his secondary sourcestest them for accuracy in practice. in this way?he found mistakes in the book that we use. his diligencehard work made me extremely proud of him.
