親愛的各位學長，學姐，同學們，

大家中午好，我叫xx，來自計算機系汽車電子班，很高興今天能夠站在這個講台上參加學生會的面試。我要競選的是學生會的秘書處，因為我個人不太喜歡喧鬧，我是個喜歡安靜的人，因為只有安靜才能體會到別人無法體會的境界，才能寫出精彩的文章，秘書處給我提供了這樣的環境，所以我喜歡安靜，更喜歡秘書處的安靜。大家都知道前段時間系學生會納新吧!我已經加入了我們系秘書部，所以對秘書部的職能和工作內容也有了一定的了解，我知道秘書處要經常做一些會議記錄，那首先要求有一顆平淡的心，這個工作對那些貪玩的同學來說可能平淡無奇，但對我來說是個鍛鍊自己的機會，因為我相信一個成功者會從別人的工作中吸營養，而整理記錄這種方式是最快捷最便利成本最低的方式另外我知道做好這個工作還需要字寫的好，(轉身在黑板上瀟灑的寫了我的名字)名以正字以表德，我想雖然我沒有練過書法，但我相信憑一顆責任心和真誠的態度一定能夠寫出一手規範的字，我相信三年以後我的字會寫的比現在更出色。

我有許多東西不在乎，我不在乎工作有多累，我不在乎因為工作，讓我沒有時間去打檯球，去談戀愛.(台下一片笑聲)但是我在乎我是否在為精彩的生命而奮鬥，大家有沒有聽說過渝敏洪呢?新東方教育集團的董事長，也是我的偶像，他講過一句話，他說，最精彩的生命是在年老的時候能夠寫出一部回憶錄來，自己會因曾經經歷過的生命而感動，感動別人繼續為了精彩的生命而奮鬥，這樣，我才可以說我的生命過得很充實。我認為我們為人處世不僅僅是為了感動別人，最重要的是能夠感動自己，因為只有感動自己才能感動別人!也許有人覺得我很虛榮，那么，我願意為了這種虛榮奮鬥到底。

我們都應該思考一下，在大學的三年時間裡，我們是不是也應該做點什麼?讓我們的生命更加精彩一點啊。大學學生會既是一個機遇也是一個挑戰，但是我始終相信，有志者事竟成。沒有拆不散的情侶，只有不努力的小三。

i am a third year master major in automation at shanghai jiao

tong university, p. r. china. with tremendous interest in industrial engineering, i am writing to apply for acceptance

into your ph.d. graduate program.

education background in 1995, i entered the nanjing university of science & technology (nust) -- widely considered one of the china’s best engineering schools. during the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. i was granted first class prize every semester,in 1999, i got the privilege to enter the graduate program

waived of the admission test.

at the period of my graduate study, my overall gpa(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. in the second semester, i became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. this year, i won the acer scholarship

as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my

university. presently, i am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of excellent graduation thesis.

research experience and academic activity when a sophomore, i joined the association of ai enthusiast

and began to narrow down my interest for my future research.

with the tool of opengl and matlab, i designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. it is now widely used by different research groups in nust. i assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for nanjing sewage treatment plant. this was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

in retrospect, i find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the ph.d. program. my future research interests include: network scheduling problem, heuristic algorithm research (especially in ga and neural network), supply chain network research, hybrid system performance analysis with petri nets and data

mining.
