在面試時，我們經常會被要求自我介紹，所謂自我介紹，就是把自已介紹給出別人，以使別人認識自已，所以恰到好處的自我介紹，可以大大提高面試的好感。
1.了解自我介紹的分類
自我介紹根據介紹人的不同，可以分為主動型自我介紹和被動型自我介紹兩種類型。
(1)在社交活動中，在欲結識某個人或某些人卻無人引見的情況下，即可自己充當自己的介紹人，將自己介紹給對方。這種自我介紹叫做主動型的自我介紹。
(2)面試自我介紹，將自己的某些方面的具體情況進行一番自我介紹。這種自我介紹則叫做被動型的自我介紹。
2.面試自我介紹的內容，包括本人姓名、供職的單位及部門、擔負的職務或從事的具體工作等三項，又叫工作式自我介紹內容的三要素，通常缺一不可。
①姓名。應當一口報出，不可有姓無名，或有名無姓。
②單位。單位及部門，如可能最好全部報出，具體工作部門有時可以暫不報出。
③職務。擔負的職務或從事的具體工作，有職務最好報出職務，職務較低或者無職務，則可報出目前所從事的具體工作。
舉個例子，可以說：“我叫唐果，是大秦廣告公司的公關部經理。”
3、面試自我介紹應大體包括本人的姓名、工作、籍貫、學歷、興趣以及與交往對象的某些熟人的關係等。如：“我的名字叫王光，是里潤公司副總裁。2024年前，我和您先生是大學同學。”
4.掌握面試自我介紹的分寸想要自我介紹恰到好處、不失分寸，就必須高度重視下述幾個方面的問題：
(1)控制時間
①進行自我介紹一定要力求簡潔，儘可能地節省時間。通常以半分鐘左右為佳，如無特殊情況最好不要長於1分鐘。為了提高效率，在作自我介紹的同時，可利用名片、介紹信等資料加以輔助。
②自我介紹應在適當的時間進行。進行自我介紹，最好選擇在對方有興趣、有空閒、情緒好、干擾少、有要求之時。如果對方興趣不高、工作很忙、干擾較大、心情不好、沒有要求、休息用餐或正忙於其他交際之時，則不太適合進行自我介紹。
(2)講究態度
①態度要保持自然、友善、親切、隨和，整體上講求落落大方，笑容可掬。
②充滿信心和勇氣。忌諱妄自菲薄、心懷怯藐。要敢於正視對方的雙眼，顯得胸有成竹，從容不迫。
③語氣自然，語速正常，語音消晰。生硬冷漠的語氣、過快過慢的語速，或者含糊不清的語音，都會嚴重影響自我介紹者的形象。
(3)追求真實
進行自我介紹時所表述的各項內容，一定要實事求是，真實可信。過分謙虛，一味貶低自己去討好別人，或者自吹自擂，誇大其詞，都是不足取的。
總的說來，面試自我介紹十分重要，良好的表達，不僅可以展現自己，而且可以大大提高用人單位的好感。
二、應聘者具體應注意以下幾點：
1、接到面試通知後，最好在家打個自我介紹的草稿，然後試著講述幾次，感覺一下。
2、自我介紹時首先應禮貌地做一個極簡短的開場白，並向所有的面試人員(如果有多個面試考官的話)示意，如果面試考官正在注意別的東西，可以稍微等一下，等他注意轉過來後才開始。
3、注意掌握時間，如果面試考官規定了時間，一定要注意時間的掌握，既不能逾時太長，也不能過於簡短。
4、介紹的內容不宜太多的停留在諸如姓名、工作經歷、時間等東西上，因為這些在你的簡歷表上已經有了，你應該更多的談一些跟你所應聘職位有關的工作經歷和所取得的成績，以證明你確實有能力勝任你所應聘的工作職位。
5、在作自我簡介時，眼睛千萬不要東張西望，四處游離，顯得漫不經心的樣子，這會給人做事隨便、注意力不集中的感覺。眼睛最好要多注視面試考官，但也不能長久注視目不轉睛。再就是儘量少加一些手的輔助動作，因為這畢竟不是在作講演，保持一種得體的姿態也是很重要的。
