Ladies and Gentlemen:
女士們，先生們：
[1] Good morning! It’s my great honor to be elected as the chairman of the Green Earth Society. Words can not express how much I appreciate this honor. Thank you all for your support and for your confidence in me. As I take this position, I’ll do my best, together with all our volunteer members of this organization, to promote environmental protection locally and globally, and to make more and more people become eco-conscious.

[2] “Why should I be eco-conscious?” you ask. There is a very simple reason: We live on one earth, and this is the only place we can live right now. We can't live in space, we don't have the food growing capacity out there yet for lots of people to survive. If we treat the earth like the city dump it becomes dirty and unlivable. If we treat it well by being eco-conscious, the earth stays a clean place, perfect for living, for ourselves and for our children.
[2] 你們可能會問，“我們為什麼要有環保意識?”原因很簡單：我們生活地球上，而且這是目前我們唯一可以居住的地方。我們無法去太空生活，我們無法在那裡生產足夠的食品供很多人生存。如果我們把地球當作城市垃圾堆一樣對待，地球會變得骯髒不堪，無法生存。如果我們個個都有環保意識，好好地對待地球，那么地球會保持乾淨，非常適合生活，不僅適合我們，也適合我們的子孫。
[3] We are now living in a highly industrialized world. The expanding industries are providing us with more and more convenience and comfort. But I want to remind you that, owing to overdeveloping of natural resources, our earth is facing a disaster. Our air is being poisoned everyday by car fumes, our oceans are being polluted with toxic wastes, and our beautiful rainforests are being destroyed.
[3] 我們生活在一個高度工業化的世界。不斷膨脹的工業給我們提供了很多方便和舒適。但我想提醒大家，由於自然資源的過度開發，我們的地球正面臨一場災難。我們的空氣每天都受到汽車燃氣的毒化，我們的海洋遭到有毒廢物的污染，而我們美麗的熱帶雨林也遭到破壞。
[4] We all moan and groan about the loss of the quality of life through the destruction of our ecology, and yet each one of us, in our own little comfortable ways, contributes daily to that destruction. It's time now to awaken in each one of us the respect and attention our beloved mother deserves.

I am very glad to stand here to give thier a short speech。Today my topic is that the youth are the future of motherland

When preparing for the English speech contest， I simply want to search some articles as the contents of my speech。 I read a lot of articles， some from the university professor， some from the famous host， some from the college students， and even from junior high school students。 But after reading it， I gave up the idea， I even felt shameful。 Today，the topic I want to talk about is a solemn and serious theme full of glory and pride， which is a mon aspiration of all our Chinese。 Every Chinese has his own dream of China， and of course， there is a dream lingering in my heart only belongs to my own。

We had learned a lot of knowledge and understood a lot of truth in the book。 We had a basic concept to our country at that time。 We know that our country is full of sunshine ， and we are the future of our country， and our dreams are to be the hope of our motherland。

記得剛剛上學那會兒，我們天真無邪。在課本里，我們學到了很多很多知識，也明白了很多很多道理，我們對祖國也有了一個最基本的概念。我們明白我們的祖國到處充滿陽光，正在慢慢發展，而我們，就是祖國未來的花朵，未來的期望。我們夢想將來能夠成為祖國的期望。
However，We don't know what time to start，We are grow up，Life became not the same， though we don’t want to admit， it’s the truth that our mind and attitude to our country is changing。 Our society became full of deception， indifference， intrigue， pressure， corruption， sinister， and we became irritable and not calm， detest the world and its ways。 Our country seems to have bee in a disastrous state too。 A lot of young students who were nurtured by our motherland became impatient， let alone what are their dreams ， what is the china dream ?
這，是我們最初的中國夢。最真誠的我們，最真誠的夢。
但是，不明白什麼時候開始，我們長大了，生活似乎一下子變得和以前不太一樣了，與此同時，雖然我們很不想承認但是卻又不得不承認的是，我們的思想，我們的為人處世觀，我們對我們祖國的看法，也潛移默化中慢慢開始了轉變。我們的社會變得到處充滿欺騙、冷漠、勾心鬥角、壓力、腐敗、險惡，我們變得暴躁，不冷靜，憤世嫉俗。我們的國家，似乎也開始變得千瘡百孔。而好多我們親愛的祖國委以重任培養的青年學生們變得輕浮、急躁，更別提什麼夢想，什麼中國夢了?
I was surprised ，when the old man fell down in the street，We are afraid to help him。I was disappointed ，when someone do good things were reported，many people think he was affectation， I was sad，when I saw many of young people bee indifferent ，fraud and lack of ideal。
Are we sick， or is our dear motherland sick?
我很驚訝，當大街上有老人摔倒，我們不敢再去扶起;我很難過，當有人做了好事被報導，更多的人說他做作;我很悲哀，當我看到我們眾多的青年人變得冷漠、市儈、欺詐以及缺乏理想。
到底是我們病了，還是我們親愛的祖國病了?
I don't want to talk about the construction of our country politics， and also speak impassioned speech on the Diaoyu Island event 。I just want to appeal young people，showing the side of youth，good and confidence。We must learn to organize our own thoughts， correct our own concept， and change our direction to the right side in future life。 China dream actually lies in our young generation， especially of the intellectuals。
我的中國夢，不想大談政治，也不想對釣魚島事件發表慷慨激昂的演講。我只想呼籲，呼籲我們年輕人，呼籲我們祖國的期望能夠將我們的青春一面，將我們的善良一面，將我們的自信一面好好展現出來。我們要學會整理自我的思想，端正自我看問題的觀念，擺正自我的人生方向。我們的中國夢實際上正掌握在我們自我手上，掌握在我們年青一代，尤其是知識分子手上。
Perhaps the strength of a person is small， but when his or her fate is connected with the motherland， he or she will be hero or heroine。 Perhaps a dream is tiny， but when it bees the dream of a country， it bees inestimable。 Perhaps I cannot change our country by my own， but if thousands and thousands of young people struggle for the dream together， our motherland is enough to make the world shock。
也許，一個人，是渺小的;但是當他和祖國聯繫起來時，就是偉大的。也許，一個夢想，是渺小的，但是當它成為祖國的夢想時，就是不可估量的。也許，我無法用自我一個人的力量撬起整箇中國，但是我們千千萬萬年輕人一齊為祖國的夢想去奮鬥時，我們的祖國就足以令世界顫抖、動容。
I dream to construct our beauty China with millions of young people who have the same dream。 We do it without exaggeration but only with persistence。

Above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. Only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. If we can do all of the above, I am sure popularity will come our way.
