昨天晚上，我幫媽媽蒸饅頭。過了一會兒，爸爸問我：“你放了多少水呀?”“水?噢，天哪!我忘了放了!”我回答說。“什麼?你忘了?!”爸爸驚叫一聲跑進廚房，關掉煤氣，迅速將那口快燒焦的鍋放進水裡冷卻。幸好沒有發生危險。“如果我來遲一步，就會發生火災了。”爸爸說。而我呆呆地站在那裡，嚇得一句話也說不出。
Alas, I Am too Careless
We had a maths contest today. I am good at maths, so I finished it quickly. I was the first one to hand in the paper. I was sitting on my seat relaxing, while the teacher shouted, "Whose paper is this?" I made no response. Some time later, I suddenly realized that I didn't sign my name on the paper. I stood up hurriedly and went to the teacher. She helped me find the nameless paper and sign my name. I would have failed the contest if she hadn't reminded me in time.
