教學過程：
Step 1 : Class opening and Review
1、Review clothes the students have mastered and other vocabulary with “ Dress up ”
(jeans , skirt , hat , blouse , pants , sweater , shoes , socks , jacket and glasses .)
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1、Teaching “ boots and umbrella ”
1)Ask the Ss what do you like to have on the rainy day ?Demonstrate “ boots ” and “ umbrella ” with real objects .
2)Practice a : Read after me
b : Read one by one
c : Ask and answer
Do you have boots and umbrella ?
What colour is your ?
Do you like your ?
d : Make some sentences with the words .
2、Teaching “ wet and dry ”
1)Demonstrate “ wet ” and “ dry ” with some water and some paper . Get a piece of paper wet and compare it to a dry piece of paper .
2)Read one by one .
3)Make sentences with two words .
3、Teaching “ always , usually , sometimes and never ”
1)Using pictures to demonstrate the new words :

Step 4 Summary
Today we learned the new words : boots , umbrella , always , usually , sometimes and never . Please practice them after class .

1、熱身
（1）複習所學動物的名稱；
（2）對話練習：What’s this in English? …
What’s that in English?…
2、新課呈現
（1）Listen to the tape。
（2）讓學生跟練熟悉上口。
（3）領讀兩遍。
（4）介紹重點句型：What’s that in English then? Is that a sheep over there?
（5）組織學生模仿上列句型進行對話。
（6）學生二人一組根據錄音機的對話和上述重點句型和書中的圖片進行練習，逐步熟悉對話內容，重點掌握What’s that in English then?句型和理解領會Is that a sheep over there?的含義。
（7）幫助學生理解本部分內容。引導學生在句子中猜測單詞nearby,then,clever的意思。
五、作業布置：
（1）課堂作業：練習冊P.4“聽一聽”；P.5“連一連”、“譯一譯”。
（2）家庭作業：背會本課重點句子。

教材分析
本節課是九年義務教育國小五年級6冊教材第一課，本課單詞共有17個，其中要求四會得有；speak，question，number，tell，learn。雖然辭彙量大，但背默的詞之有五個，壓力不大。教材以打電話入手，學生在掌握了 May I speak to。He is in.或He is not in句型後，進入句型May I。 Certainly.表示有禮貌的請求和應答。本節課在理解和掌握這個句型後，通過閱讀文章Making a pizza的不斷練習鞏固，使學生牢固掌握並在生活中靈活運用。
學情分析
1 本節課是新年過後6冊第一課，學生有可能思想不集中，加之單詞數量多 效果可能不夠佳，因此要多加引導。
2學生經過半年的英語學習，已有較好的基礎，教師只要認真組織，合理創設場景、適時激發興趣，學生會很快進入角色。
教學目標
1 能聽懂，能說，能認能拼寫本課時單詞。 2熟練運用本課時句子 。3掌握may的用法may作為情態動詞表示請求。4通過設定場景等活動激發學生的學習興趣及熱情培養學生學習英語的自信心。
教學重點和難點
1 speak、question要求四會，message、spread要求三會。
2 理解運用May I speak to Mary ?並替換單詞進行會話，掌握其答語。
設計意圖
一新課導入 ，出示導綱，學生自學。
二合作互動，小組討論單詞發音，師生互動。
三導學歸納。教師總結，學生歸納
教師通過介紹日常生活中的打電話知識，段、對學生提出目標和要求。
