烏龜吃食很雜。平時，你給它吃什麼，它就吃什麼。它吃東西時先用鼻子碰碰，看食物動不動，對自己有沒有威脅，沒有就吃。吃的時候，它有時候細嚼慢吞。
烏龜既喜歡陰暗的地方，又喜歡曬太陽。天氣比較暖和，烏龜就伸出頭曬太陽，如果陽光移動，它就移動。如果天氣很熱，烏龜就喜歡到陰暗有水的地方去避暑。有時，烏龜乾脆爬到水裡去游泳，游累了，它就會浮在水面上，一動不動。
冬天來了，天氣漸漸冷了，烏龜就要冬眠(小j的烏龜就是在冬眠)。這時，它需要很多食物，這是為冬眠打下良好的基礎。冬天到了，烏龜開始冬眠。
初春，天氣漸漸轉暖，烏龜甦醒後，體力沒有一下子恢復過來，背上起了皺紋，需要補充食物，才能恢復。
