《變形金剛》(transformers)是一部基於“變形金剛”玩具產品改編的XX年美國科幻動作片。這部集合了計算機動畫和真人演出的電影由麥可·貝執導，史蒂芬·史匹柏出任執行製片人，是《變形金剛》系列真人電影的開山之作。希亞·拉博夫在片中扮演一個名叫薩姆·維特維奇(sam witwicky)的少年，因機緣巧合而捲入了英勇的汽車人和邪惡的霸天虎之間的戰爭，後兩者是兩派來自同一個外星球但相互對立的機械生命體，可以變形成人類生活中常見的機械。霸天虎一欲奪得火種源，這種東西擁有賦予機器生命的力量，而且變形金剛也正是由火種源所創，霸天虎希望可以將其用來在地球上建立一個機器軍團，而汽車人則要想方設法阻止對方。
