我將要任教的班級是瓊中思源學校四（4）班，這些孩子大多數來自農村，由於我縣的英語課還不能普及到所有農村國小，所以很多孩子是來了思源以後才學英語的，很多孩子才學了半年的英語，可以說他們的英語基礎是比較差的，但是我相信他們才剛學英語興趣一定很濃，積極性一定很高，國小三、四年級的學生活潑好動，表現欲強，如果能設計一些有趣、並有意義的教學活動，他們一定能把本課學好。

教材分析：
本課的故事是在美國的daming 和他的美國表兄simon跟隨simon's dad 去一家快餐店就餐的經過。需要學生掌握的語言功能是如何在快餐店點餐：“what do you want? i want a hot dog, please.”及如何詢問價錢：“how much is it? it's thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.”本課的內容貼近學生的生活實際，有利於培養學生在真實的語言情景中運用英語進行交際的能力。
設計理念：
  “課程是知識，也是經驗，還是活動，是體驗，更是語言的載體。”根據本課的特點，我採用了“創設真實語境和小組合作學習的教學法，通過大量的食物卡片及實物和多媒體課件來呈現課文內容，循序漸進激發學生的學習興趣，通過大量的活動及遊戲來操練、鞏固及運用所學知識，讓學生在體驗中成長，在快樂中學習，最終達到運用語言的目的。
知識目標：
  1.what do  you  want ? i want  a  hot  dog  ,please.
  2.how much is it ? it’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.
能力目標：
能用英語來表達如何點餐及詢問價錢。
情感目標：
激發學生的學習熱情，了解中西方的飲食文化異同，並進行文明禮儀教育。

中西方在價格表達上的異同（1美元=100美分）

  課前調查班級中去過西餐快餐店的同學有哪些，他們都了解哪些快餐。

【設計思路】
三年級學生已經掌握了一定量的單詞與句型，並能進行簡單對話，而且對英語學習都抱有很大的熱情。但在自主學習、體驗學習、合作學習中仍舊存在不足，缺乏認真、仔細的態度，不善於與組員們交流、討論。而本節課的教材內容比較適合設計成自主、體驗、合作學習的模式，整節課營造故事氛圍，讓學生在一定的語境中學習，因此在教學中注意引導學生藉助多媒體課件在情境中運用所學的知識。
本課是根據上海教育出版社出版的上海市九年義務教育課本《牛津英語》教材三年級下學期p29的內容自編的校本教材。在第一課時的教授中，學生已經掌握了有關彩虹的顏色，並能夠結合實際生活說說生活中物品的顏色。於是，在第二課時中，基於學生對colours 這一課語言知識的掌握，我整合了學生的新舊知識，改編了一個頗含寓意的關於彩虹的美國傳說，並取名為《 rainbow smiles 》。整節課主要圍繞1個關鍵單詞boast展開，要求學生通過新授句型…the best…of…來體驗故事中各個角色的心理變化，表達自己的看法。
根據上述情況，本課嘗試以教師指導下的“自主、體驗、合作”探究性學習作為總體設計。即學生在教師的指導下，自主學習單詞，自主體驗故事的內容，合作表演的形式來感悟故事內涵。

1.學生通過語音歸類、體驗含義，來學習新單詞boast與hug的含義。
