本課是新目標英語八年級上冊第4單元第一課。本單元圍繞談論交通工具（transportation）和距離為中心話題，這個題材開展多種教學活動，與上一單元聯繫緊密。本節課是本單元的重點。通過學習談論交通方式，為今後學習合理安排行程，合理選用交通工具以及設計實踐調查報告並提出解決問題的簡單方案打下基礎，同時通過How do you get to sp?以及pairwork的反覆操練，進一步提高學生聽、說、讀、寫綜合素質能力。

2、教學目標：
