教材分析

1.PEP英語五年級階段強調激發學生學習英語的興趣，初步建立學習英語的信心；培養學生具有一定的語感和良好的語音、語調、書寫基礎，以及良好的學習習慣；初步具備用英語進行簡單日常交流的能力。

2.在新學期的開始，有些科目的老師換了新老師，本節課正好設計為學習描述人物體貌特徵和個性的語言，既有實際的意義，又可以學習新的表達方式。

學情分析

授課班級為我校五年級學生。經過二年多的英語學習，學生已有一定的英語基礎，能聽懂教師的課堂用語，能簡單的描述圖片內容，能看圖片完成聽力，能交流簡單的個人信息，表達簡單的情感和感覺；具備小組討論交流的能力。但學生英語語言組織能力還有待進一步提高，缺乏綜合運用語言談論所學話題的能力，需在教師的引領下突破這一難點。

就本課而言，學生已經學過一些有關各科教師稱呼的辭彙，如art teacher, science teacher, English teacher, math teacher, Chinese teacher 等.關於人物的描述：He’s…, She’s … ,學生並不陌生，但需要在教師的引導下，在新的話題情景中復現、鞏固和運用。

教學目標

1.能聽懂會說：Who’s your math teacher? Mr Zhao. What’s he like? He is thin and short. He’s very kind.

2.能聽懂Let’s try部分的錄音內容，完成正確選擇圖片的練習。、
